We left to head over to Petco Park after about an hour.

I'm terribly sorry I didn't get her name. There was only 1 bartender and she was working hard! The place got very crowded but she did a great job of making delicious cocktails & pouring generous glasses of wine. Several types of seating areas (couches, high tops, etc) and ever a super cute area for your pups. It's not literally a rooftop bar (as it's on the 9th floor) but it offers great views of the Gaslamp and Petco Park. At 5pm we regathered to check out the Level 9 bar when it opened.

I really appreciated how she handled it because it's such a frustrating thing, but she was very pleasant & professional and made me feel valued as a guest. She took care of the key situation lickety split & turned my lousy mood right around. I was met, again, by the smiling face of Gloria. ACK! That is such a frustrating thing to have happen! I kinda frogmarched down to the lobby in a pissy mood. Upon returning to the Hotel Indigo, we found that our room keys had both been demagnetized. After dropping our things at our rooms (which were very clean & modernly decorated) we went across the street to Half Door Brewing to catch up with our buddies. Ridiculous, I know, but that's true of almost anywhere in the Gaslamp District. We carpooled to SD as the valet parking is $55/day. We arrived about 3pm and check in took about 30 seconds- keys were already made & we were warmly welcomed by Gloria Gazafy. Had never seen the property before (although we've stayed in the Gaslamp many times) but it's proximity to the ballpark, availability of a "rooftop" bar & the fact that we had some IHG points to spend made made it an obvious choice. We reserved 2 rooms at the Hotel Indigo last week in order to take in a Padres game with another couple.
